Dissolve, Spray or Drench — Concentrated Kelp Support in Liquid Form
Old Cobblers Farm™ Wicked Organics Soluble Seaweed Extract (Thick Skin) is a concentrated soluble kelp powder made from North Atlantic Ascophyllum nodosum. It dissolves quickly in warm water to make a liquid concentrate you apply as a foliar spray or soil drench — a fast, even way to deliver kelp’s natural trace minerals and plant-supporting compounds straight to roots and leaves. A little goes a long way: a small amount of powder makes multiple gallons of ready-to-use solution, which makes it an economical way to feed regularly.
Like all kelp products, it is a biostimulant and supplement rather than a complete fertilizer — its job is to support strong root development, plant vigor and balanced growth, and to help plants through stressful moments, not to supply the bulk nitrogen and phosphorus a feeding fertilizer provides. Its one guaranteed nutrient is soluble potash (15%); beyond that it carries the naturally occurring trace minerals, sea-derived micronutrients, mannitol (which helps keep minerals available to the plant) and natural plant compounds that kelp is valued for. Pair it with an N-P-K feed for macronutrients and let the seaweed extract round out the rest.
It is especially useful at transplanting (soak root balls before planting), in seed-starting (water trays with a diluted solution to support early roots), and during stress periods — after repotting, relocation or environmental change — to support recovery. And it is a seaweed-only product: fully vegan, with no manure odor and nothing that attracts pets or wildlife, which makes it especially pleasant for indoor and houseplant use.
Where to use it: houseplants and indoor collections, vegetable gardens and raised beds, flowers and ornamentals, container and patio plants, trees and shrubs, perennials, seed-starting trays and lawns.
Key Benefits
• Liquid Kelp, Easy to Apply: Dissolves in warm water for a foliar spray or soil drench — fast, even delivery to roots and leaves.
• Highly Concentrated: A small amount makes multiple gallons of ready-to-use solution — economical for regular feeding.
• Supports Roots & Vigor: Kelp’s natural compounds support root development and the efficient water and nutrient uptake strong roots provide.
• For Transitions & Stress: Especially useful at transplanting, in seed-starting and during stress periods like repotting or relocation.
• Sea-Derived Micronutrients: Carries soluble potash, trace minerals, sea-derived micronutrients and mannitol that help keep minerals available.
• Vegan & Clean Indoors: Seaweed-only — vegan, odor-free and doesn’t attract pets — especially nice for indoor and houseplant use.
• A Supplement, Not a Fertilizer: Pairs with your regular N-P-K feed to round out trace minerals and plant-supporting compounds.
Best Uses
• Houseplants and indoor plant collections
• Vegetable gardens, raised beds and container plants
• Flowers, ornamentals and perennials
• Transplants and new plantings (soak root balls before planting)
• Seed-starting trays (water with a diluted solution)
• Trees, shrubs and lawns
Important Notes / Safety
• A Supplement, Not a Complete Fertilizer: This is a kelp biostimulant. Use it alongside an N-P-K fertilizer for macronutrients — it is not a stand-alone feed.
• Organic / Wicked Organics: An all-natural, seaweed-only Wicked Organics product. (OMRI listing pending certificate confirmation.)
• Increase Frequency, Not Strength: For best results, apply more often rather than mixing stronger than the label rate.
• Soil Drench Preferred: Soil drenches give the full benefit plus support for soil biology; foliar spray also works.
• Storage: Store the powder in a cool, dry place. Keep sealed and away from children and pets.
• Yield: 1 oz of powder makes about 10 gallons of ready-to-use liquid at the label rate.
Why Choose Old Cobblers Farm™?
We keep it simple and natural. Wicked Organics Soluble Seaweed Extract delivers kelp’s trace minerals and plant-supporting compounds in an easy, economical, seaweed-only powder — to support roots and vigor and to help plants through transplanting, seed-starting and stress. (We describe how to use the product, not guaranteed results.)
Application Instructions
Application Instructions
-Containers & houseplants: 1 tsp per gallon; water plants with the solution every 3–4 weeks
-Transplanting: soak the root ball in a 1 tsp/gallon solution before planting (bare-root: soak roots ~20 minutes)
-Seed starting: water seed trays with the 1 tsp/gallon solution
-After stress: an extra dose after repotting, heat, relocation or any time plants look rough
Step by step
1. Measure the powder — 1 teaspoon per gallon of warm water (3 level tbsp = 1 oz; 1 oz makes ~10 gallons).
2. Stir until fully dissolved into a dark liquid concentrate.
3. Apply as a soil drench around the root zone, or as a foliar spray for even leaf coverage.
4. Water lightly after a soil application to move it into the root zone.
5. Repeat every 3–4 weeks during the growing season; add an extra dose after stress.
6. Pair with your regular N-P-K fertilizer for macronutrients.
What not to do
Do not treat it as a complete fertilizer (it does not supply bulk nitrogen or phosphorus), and do not mix stronger than the label rate — increase frequency instead.
