How to Apply
-Gardens (as a conditioner/amendment): 2–4 lbs per 100 sq ft, worked into the top 2–3 inches
-Lawns (general): 6–12 lbs per 1,000 sq ft; water in 0.25–0.5 inch immediately after application
-Trees & shrubs: 1–2 lbs per inch of trunk diameter
-Containers: 1–2 tablespoons per gallon of soil
Steps:
1. Confirm you're well away from any pond, stream, ditch, or storm drain before applying — this is the non-negotiable first step.
2. Spread evenly: work into the top 2–3 inches in beds, or broadcast over turf.
3. Water in immediately (0.25–0.5 inch on lawns) to begin dissolving the granulated crumb and carry the organic matter and saponins into the soil.
4. A follow-up irrigation 2–3 days later continues dissolving the granules and moves the active compounds deeper into the root zone.
When and how often: for soil conditioning, at bed prep or as a turf program input; for the best surfactant effect, time applications to early spring and late summer as the source recommends.
What NOT to do: NEVER apply near water bodies or storm drains (aquatic toxicity); do not over-apply expecting a fertilizer-level feed (this is a low-analysis conditioner); and do not skip watering-in, which is what activates it.
