High Potassium, Phosphorus-Free — for Vigor and Fruit Quality
Old Cobblers Farm™ Wicked Growth 8-0-16 is a high-potassium fertilizer for lawns, crops and fruit trees. The 6-0-16 ratio supplies 6% nitrogen for steady growth and a strong 16% potassium for plant vigor, with 0% phosphorus. Potassium is the nutrient most associated with overall plant strength, efficient water use and fruit quality, which makes this a useful feed when those are your priorities.
With no added phosphorus, it suits soils that are already rich in phosphorus, and lawns in areas where phosphorus is restricted (always check your local rules). It works across the yard and the field — as a lawn feed, a crop feed and a feed for fruit trees such as apple, where potassium supports fruit development and quality.
It is a conventional, easy-to-apply granular formula for even coverage. Because nitrogen is moderate (6%), think of it as a potassium-forward feed: pair it with a higher-nitrogen product when you want stronger green-up and top growth.
Where to use it: lawns, vegetable and field crops, and fruit trees — especially where soils are already high in phosphorus or where you want a potassium-forward feed.
Key Benefits
• High Potassium (16%): Supports plant vigor, water use and overall strength.
• Supports Fruit Quality: Potassium is the nutrient most associated with fruit development and quality.
• Phosphorus-Free: 0% phosphorus suits P-rich soils and P-restricted lawns (check local rules).
• Some Nitrogen for Growth: 6% nitrogen provides steady growth alongside the potassium.
• Lawn & Crop Compatible: One feed for lawns, crops and fruit trees such as apple.
• Even, Easy Application: Granular formula spreads evenly with a broadcast or drop spreader.
• Targeted Feeding: Useful when potassium — not phosphorus — is what your soil and plants need.
Best Uses
• Lawns (where a potassium-forward, phosphorus-free feed suits)
• Vegetable and field crops
• Fruit trees such as apple (potassium for fruit quality)
• Soils already high in phosphorus
• Lawns where phosphorus is restricted
• Lawn-care professionals and growers managing larger properties
Important Notes / Safety
• Soil Test First: Test your soil before applying — a high-potassium, phosphorus-free feed suits some soils and not others.
• Conventional Fertilizer: This is a Wicked Growth product — a conventional/commercial fertilizer, not an organic product.
• Potassium-Forward, Not High-Nitrogen: Nitrogen is moderate (6%); pair with a higher-nitrogen feed if you want strong green-up.
• Phosphorus-Free by Design: Use where soils are already high in phosphorus or where phosphorus is restricted (check local rules).
• Apply & Water In: Spread evenly, keep granules off foliage, and water in after applying.
• Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Keep sealed and away from children and pets.
Why Choose Old Cobblers Farm™?
We build dependable nutrition with clear, single-minded ratios. Wicked Growth 8-0-16 puts the emphasis on potassium — for vigor and fruit quality — with no phosphorus, so it fits P-rich soils and potassium-forward feeding across lawns, crops and fruit trees.
Application Instructions
Application Instructions
-Lawns: 5–8 lbs per 1,000 sq ft
-Fruit trees (e.g. apple): spread under the canopy per the label / tree size
-Method: spread evenly with a broadcast or drop spreader
-Watering: water in after applying to move nutrients into the soil
Step by step
1. Test your soil first — confirm a potassium-forward, phosphorus-free feed suits it.
2. For gardens and crops, apply 2–3 lbs per 100 sq ft; for lawns, 5–8 lbs per 1,000 sq ft.
3. For fruit trees, spread under the canopy per the label and tree size.
4. Spread evenly with a broadcast or drop spreader, keeping granules off foliage.
5. Water in after applying to move nutrients into the soil.
6. Pair with a higher-nitrogen feed when you want stronger green-up and top growth.
What not to do
Do not rely on it as a high-nitrogen feed (nitrogen is moderate at 6%), do not apply where phosphorus is needed (it has none), and do not exceed the recommended rate.
