Product Description

Two Speeds of Nitrogen, One Bag

Old Cobblers Farm™ Wicked Growth 16-10-13 is the high-nitrogen general-purpose feed in the Wicked Growth line — built for heavy feeders, established beds and crops that keep drawing on the soil long after a lighter fertilizer has run out. Each 5 lb bag delivers 0.8 lb of actual nitrogen alongside 0.5 lb of phosphate and 0.65 lb of potash, for 39% total analysis.

What separates it from a standard balanced fertilizer is how that nitrogen is built. Part of the blend is conventional urea, available to the plant as soon as it dissolves. Another portion is Purkote polymer-coated urea, which releases gradually rather than all at once. The result is a feed that greens up quickly and then keeps working, instead of surging and fading in the space of a fortnight.

The blend also carries a potassium magnesium sulfate source, which contributes magnesium and sulfur alongside its potash — two nutrients that get quietly depleted in beds that have been cropped season after season, and that ordinary N-P-K fertilizers simply don't replace.

Key benefits:

High Nitrogen, 16% — 0.8 lb of actual N per 5 lb bag for heavy feeders and hungry established plantings

Two-Speed Nitrogen — conventional urea for immediate availability, polymer-coated urea for gradual release

Balanced Phosphate & Potash — 10% phosphate for roots, 13% potash for stem strength, water regulation and stress tolerance

Magnesium & Sulfur Source — potassium magnesium sulfate contributes both alongside its potash

Efficient Rate — just 1.5–2 lbs per 100 sq ft in the garden; one bag covers 250–333 sq ft

Where to use it: vegetable gardens, established perennial and shrub beds, general crops, heavy-feeding plantings, and lawns at the turf rate below.

Note: this is a conventional (non-organic) fertilizer from the Wicked Growth line. Follow the rate, keep granules off foliage and away from stems and crowns, and water in thoroughly after every application.

Application Instructions

-Garden beds and general crops - 1.5-2 lb per 100 sq ft
-Lawns and turf - 3-5 lb per 1,000 sq ft
-Asparagus beds - 1.5-2 lb per 100 sq ft after the final spring harvest
Steps:
1. Review a recent soil test and confirm that a 16-10-13 fertilizer fits the crop or turf need.
2. Measure the correct amount for the application area; do not estimate by eye.
3. Spread evenly over the target root zone. Keep granules off foliage and away from stems, crowns, and trunks.
4. For prepared garden beds, lightly incorporate into the soil surface when appropriate for the crop and label.
5. Water in after application unless the final label directs otherwise.

When and how often:
-Asparagus: apply after the final spring harvest to feed active fern growth.
-Established beds and general crops: apply during active growth when a soil test and the crop plan indicate need.
-Lawns: use the separate turf rate only when the product label and soil test support application.
-The source rate guide does not confirm a universal repeat interval for the commercial product; do not invent one.

What NOT to do: Do not exceed the listed rates, do not pile granules against stems or crowns, and do not advertise guaranteed magnesium or sulfur percentages until the final guaranteed analysis is confirmed.
