It leads with 30% annual ryegrass — the cheapest, fastest-germinating component — for quick early cover, backed by creeping red fescue, tall fescue, and perennial ryegrass that build the permanent stand.

How to Plant
Rake the seed lightly into the top of the soil for good seed-to-soil contact — do not bury deep — and keep moist while it establishes (annual ryegrass in 3–5 days, perennial ryegrass 7–10, creeping red fescue and tall fescue 14–21). First mow when the grass reaches about 4 inches (typically 2–3 weeks); maintain at 3.0–3.5 inches (2.5 in minimum). Feed about 2–3 lb nitrogen per 1,000 sq ft a year, with fall fertilization preferred. Plan to overseed thin areas in years 2–3 as the annual ryegrass transitions out and the permanent species take over.
