Product Description

Organic, Slow-Release Feeding for Blueberries, Azaleas and Other Acid-Lovers

Old Cobblers Farm™ Wicked Organics 4-6-4 is an organic, chicken-manure-based fertilizer made for plants that prefer slightly acidic soil — blueberries, azaleas, rhododendrons, hydrangeas, hollies, gardenias and more. The 4-6-4 ratio supplies 4% nitrogen for healthy foliage, 6% phosphorus for strong roots and flower production, and 4% potassium for overall plant strength and resilience.

It feeds gently and steadily: part of the nitrogen is water-insoluble and the organic base releases gradually, so plants are fed over several weeks with very low burn risk. The blend also contains elemental sulfur, which helps support the slightly acidic soil conditions these plants prefer. In that kind of soil, nutrients such as iron and manganese naturally stay more available to acid-loving plants.

Where to use it: garden beds, raised beds, containers and around established shrubs — for new plantings and established plants alike.

Key Benefits

Made for Acid-Loving Plants: Formulated for blueberries, azaleas, rhododendrons, hydrangeas, hollies and other acid-preferring plants.

Organic, Chicken-Manure Based: An all-natural blend that feeds plants while supporting soil life (SDS on file).

Slow, Steady Feeding: Part of the nitrogen is water-insoluble and the organic base releases gradually for weeks of feeding.

Very Low Burn Risk: Low-analysis organic nutrition is gentle on roots and foliage.

Elemental Sulfur: Helps support the slightly acidic soil conditions acid-loving plants prefer.

Roots, Foliage & Blooms: 6% phosphorus supports root development and flower bud formation.

Versatile Across the Garden: Use in beds, raised beds, containers and around shrubs.

Best Uses

  Blueberries, raspberries and huckleberries

  Azaleas and rhododendrons

  Hydrangeas

  Hollies and broadleaf evergreens

  Gardenias and ornamental shrubs

Heathers, ferns, shade plants and acid-loving flower beds

Important Notes / Safety

Soil Test First: Test your soil before applying — especially if you are managing soil pH for acid-loving plants.

Organic / Wicked Organics: This is an organic, chicken-manure-based Wicked Organics fertilizer (SDS on file). OMRI/NOP claims pending certificate confirmation.

Sulfur Supports, Doesn’t Instantly Change pH: Elemental sulfur helps support slightly acidic conditions over time — it is not an instant pH correction. Base any major pH change on a soil test.

Very Low Burn Risk: Gentle organic feeding — but still water in after applying.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Keep sealed and away from children and pets.

Coverage: Bed coverage assumes the raised-bed rate; shrubs are fed by crown diameter.

Why Choose Old Cobblers Farm™?

We build all-natural nutrition that works with your soil. Wicked Organics 4-6-4 feeds acid-loving plants gently through an organic, chicken-manure base, with elemental sulfur to help support the slightly acidic conditions they prefer — across beds, containers and established shrubs. (We describe how to use the product, not guaranteed results.)

Application Instructions

-Established garden plants: ~1 lb per 2 ft of crown diameter, spread under the canopy and worked lightly into the surface
-Raised beds: 2–3 lbs per 100 sq ft, mixed lightly into the top layer of soil
-New plantings: 2–4 tbsp mixed into the backfill when planting shrubs or ornamentals
-Containers: 1–2 tbsp per gallon of potting mix before planting; top-dress monthly through the season
-Roses & flowers: ~1 lb per 2 ft of crown diameter in spring and at bud formation
-Bulbs: 1–2 tbsp per hole at planting
Step by step
1. Test your soil first, especially if you are managing pH for acid-loving plants.
2. For established shrubs, apply about 1 lb per 2 ft of crown diameter under the canopy.
3. For raised beds, apply 2–3 lbs per 100 sq ft and mix into the top layer of soil.
4. For new plantings, mix 2–4 tbsp into the backfill; for containers, mix 1–2 tbsp per gallon before planting.
5. Work lightly into the soil surface and water in after applying.
6. Apply in spring and again in fall for best results.
What not to do
Do not expect an instant pH change from the sulfur, do not exceed the recommended rate, and do not rely on it to add iron or manganese — it supports the acidic conditions in which those nutrients stay available.
