Product Description

Gentle, Slow-Release Starter Feeding for Seedlings and Transplants

Old Cobblers Farm™ Wicked Organics 2-3-3 Starter Fertilizer is a gentle, all-natural plant food built for the most delicate stages of plant life — seed starting, transplanting and young root crops. The 2-3-3 ratio keeps nitrogen low (2%) to encourage steady growth without forcing excess foliage, while 3% phosphorus supports strong root development and 3% potassium supports plant strength and crop quality.

It is made from a blend of organic and mineral ingredients — greensand, bone char, sulfate of potash, peanut meal and feather meal — so it feeds slowly and gently. Part of the nitrogen is water-insoluble and the organic base releases gradually, giving several weeks of steady feeding with very low burn risk, which makes it well suited to sensitive seedlings. Because the potassium comes from sulfate of potash, the formula is chloride-free.

Where to use it: seed-starting trays, transplant holes, raised beds, containers, potting mixes and around fruit trees and shrubs — plus lawn establishment.

Key Benefits

Gentle Starter Formula: Low 2% nitrogen feeds young plants steadily while minimizing the risk of overfeeding.

Slow, Steady Feeding: Part of the nitrogen is water-insoluble and the organic base releases gradually for weeks of feeding.

Very Low Burn Risk: Organic, very low-analysis nutrition is gentle on seedlings, transplants and roots.

Supports Root Development: 3% phosphorus (with bone char) helps young plants establish strong root systems.

Great for Root Crops: Balanced phosphorus and potassium suit carrots, potatoes, beets, onions and turnips.

Chloride-Free: Potassium from sulfate of potash — no muriate or chloride.

All-Natural Ingredients: Greensand, bone char, sulfate of potash, peanut meal and feather meal.

Best Uses

  Seed-starting trays and nursery containers

  Transplants and sensitive young plants

Root crops (carrots, potatoes, beets, onions, turnips)

Legumes such as peas and beans (which suit a low-nitrogen feed)

Vegetable gardens, raised beds and container plants

Flower beds, fruit trees, shrubs and lawn establishment

Important Notes / Safety

Soil Test First: Test your soil before applying any fertilizer for best results.

Organic / Wicked Organics: This is an organic, all-natural Wicked Organics blend (SDS on file). OMRI/NOP claims pending certificate confirmation.

Gentle by Design: Burn risk is very low because it is a low-analysis organic starter — but still water in after applying.

Work In Before Planting: For beds, work into the top 3–4 inches of soil before planting; for transplants, mix into the planting hole.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Keep sealed and away from children and pets.

Coverage: Bed coverage assumes the 2–3 lb / 100 sq ft rate; container and transplant rates differ.

Why Choose Old Cobblers Farm™?

We build all-natural nutrition that is simple and reliable. Wicked Organics 2-3-3 is a gentle starter that feeds seedlings, transplants and root crops slowly through an organic, mineral-rich blend — chloride-free, with very low burn risk — so young plants can establish strong roots. (We describe how to use the product, not guaranteed results.)

Application Instructions

-Garden & raised beds: 2–3 lbs per 100 sq ft, worked into the top 3–4 inches before planting
-Containers: 1–2 tablespoons per gallon of potting soil
-Transplants: a small handful in the planting hole, mixed with surrounding soil
-Lawns:: 2–3 lbs per 100 sq ft for new seed, sod or seasonal prep
-Potting mixes: 3–16 oz per cubic foot, depending on plant type
-Side-dress: 2–4 oz per plant, or 1–2 lbs per 100 sq ft monthly
Step by step
1. Test your soil first when you can.
2. For beds, apply 2–3 lbs per 100 sq ft and work into the top 3–4 inches before planting.
3. For transplants, add a small handful to the planting hole and mix with the soil.
4. For containers, mix 1–2 tbsp per gallon of potting soil (or 3–16 oz per cubic foot in potting mixes).
5. Water in after applying to start the organic breakdown that feeds plants.
6. One application lasts about 4–8 weeks; reapply during the season as needed.
What not to do
Do not over-apply to seedlings — this is a gentle starter, not a high-nitrogen feed — and do not expect a fast green-up, since organic feeding is gradual.
