Bigger Blooms, Stronger Roots — A 15-30-15 Formula Built for Flowering Annuals
Old Cobblers Farm Wicked Growth 15-30-15 is a high-phosphorus flower fertilizer designed for annuals that bloom hard and fast all season. The 15-30-15 analysis means it contains 15% nitrogen for healthy green foliage, 30% phosphorus for root development and heavy, repeat flowering, and 15% potassium for stem strength and longer-lasting blooms.
What makes it different is concentration: at 60% total nutrients, a single 5 lb bag delivers 3 full pounds of plant food, so a little goes a long way. It is fast-acting — nutrients become available to plants quickly after watering in — making it ideal for annuals in their active growing and blooming phases, and for reviving beds or baskets that have slowed down mid-season.
Key Benefit
Heavy, repeat blooming — 30% phosphorus supports prolific flower production in annuals through the season.
Strong roots, fast — High phosphorus helps young transplants establish quickly in beds and containers.
Complete top-to-bottom support — Nitrogen for foliage, phosphorus for roots and blooms, potassium for stem strength and bloom longevity.
Concentrated and efficient — 60% total analysis means less product per application than low-analysis feeds
Simple measured rates — One tablespoon per square foot or one teaspoon per pot; no mixing math required.
Fast-acting — Water it in and nutrients move to the roots quickly during active growth.
Where to use it: garden beds, borders, containers, window boxes, and hanging baskets planted with flowering annuals such as petunias, marigolds, impatiens, zinnias, geraniums, begonias (especially tuberous), cosmos, snapdragons, alyssum, nasturtiums, calendula, lobelia, torenia, sweet peas, cleome, dianthus, verbena, annual phlox, morning glory, and calibrachoa (Million Bells).
Application Instructions
Application Instructions
-Containers: 1 teaspoon per 6-inch pot (scale up proportionally for larger pots)
Steps:
1. If the soil is dry, water it lightly first — applying fertilizer to bone-dry soil increases the risk of fertilizer burn.
2. Measure the correct amount with a scoop or measuring spoon. More is not better.
3. Spread evenly over the soil surface around the base of the plants. Keep granules off leaves and flowers and away from direct contact with stems.
4. Gently rake into the top 1–2 inches of soil.
5. Water in immediately and thoroughly. This activates the nutrients, carries them to the roots, and protects against burn.
When and how often:
-First application: at planting, or when new growth begins in early spring
-Reapply every 4–6 weeks through the growing season
-Stop feeding in late season so plants can harden off before dormancy
-Apply once soil has warmed and plants are actively growing (typically mid-spring to early summer)
What NOT to do: do not exceed the listed rates, do not leave granules sitting on foliage, and do not apply without watering in — this is a concentrated formula and over-application can burn plants.
